Opinions, Doing Away With Engine Mounted Fan?

Thanks! So, I pulled the two wires off the switch and connected them together with the ignition turned to on position. The fan doesn't spin, but I hear a click. So the problem is the fan in itself. Other options than https://www.minispar...Back to search? Is it worthwhile? Daily driver. Thanks.

If you can hear a click, next you need to check this is translating into a supply at the fan using a multi meter, or, if you haven't got one a bulb will do.

Pretty sure there's a relay for the SPI fan, is it that you can hear clicking?

 

 

 

.... the electric fan only assists, stands in when the engine isn't spinning fast enough for the mechanical one.

 

No way is an electric motor going to compete with your engine to power a fan, and your engine would still be be powering the alternator to work it.
