is any of the 'stuck' piston exposed at all? as minispares do sell the seals & bolts so that you can split the caliper and take it out like that :)

Minispares

ones above are for Cooper S calipers, but i'm sure if yours are 8.4" discs then you should be able to get some for them calipers too :)

I used a small threaded bar, with big washers, and expanded it in the piston, then poped it out with some grips, I was replacing my pistons and seals.

Anybody got any tips for putting the pistons back in too?

This is where the fun really begins...

Buy extra dust seals, you're bound to bend the first attempt, you can buy a tool to do this job, but I've never used it... probably why I bust my dust seals...

Managed to do it today and get the new seals in. I used a nice long bar to undo the bolts so i could split the caliper. I reinstalled the other piston with the aid of a nice chunky vice and then clamped it down. With the aid of a bog compressor I popped the other one out and did the same with new seals and pressed it back in. Only time will tell if it has done the job right! :)

Hmmm, I am always apprehensive about splitting the calipers, as haynes says

"Do not attempt toseparate the caliper halves"...

Oh right, I don't see why not to be honest. The seal was checked between them both and the bolts were tightened evenly.
