I was reading the old fashioned type paper catalogue from Mini Spares the other day, a recent one, and I looked at the Speedwells and it said at the bottom that they are available with headrests on special order...

i have the cobras with headrests and although they look cool i get little to no upper back and neck support. because if i sit all way back in them im miles from the wheel.

I'd want to have a sit in one, fitted in a car before I bought a set though. They do look quite tiny and low. I'd want to make sure I could see properly!

I can give you measurements on anything with them.

Uum, not too sure on those seats. Thanks all the same. The sides looker a bit higher than the Cub's - that's one of the reasons I want to change. The buckets I have now are quite awkward to get in and out of and I can't use them with my Britax harnesses.

Seriously get yourself and OLD pair and send them off to one of the many different companies to refurb.
Theres nothing like having something custom made and unique to you. they can repad them, even adding padding in certain areas or "molding" the padding to your shape. Just dont go putting on / loosing weight!

A nice unique seat design is what the minis all about. Pure awesome, unique custom.

Cobra seats are rubbish. Very badly made in all respects. Corbeau are excellent. You can get headrests for both types, special order. I had Speedwells, they were too small for me, I'm not a fatty but quite large in overall size.. otherwise seemed ok for the short period I had them. Thought they were made by Cobra and just had the Speedwell logo on them?
