Saw this Mini on ebay:
http://www.ebay.co.u...=item2c5e02aec6

As you can see it does look too good to be true if what he says about all that needs doing is the indcators and wipers.

I texted him simply asking why the quick sale? Its the standard thing I do when looking for a mini incase someone has discovered a major fault, wanting to get rid quick etc.

I got two replies:

'Why not'
then straight after:
'Because its stolen and i need the money quick as im a drug addict'

I obviously knew he was messing about but that sort of response put me right off, I do have a sense of humour but sarcasm is low.

I simply said im not interested now ive heard that.

Going on the text conversation went like this:

Seller: Shouldn't ask stupid questions and you wouldn't get stupid answers.

Me: Asking why you are selling is not considered a silly question when selling a car.

Seller: it is to me when that what i do for a living i'm selling it to make money but ebay is full of ****heads it's sold twice once for 1800 and another for 2250 they all had great feedback which everyone raves on about bu there all ****ing messers been in the job 22 years never met a bunch of idiots and time wasters in my ****ing life, and you sound like one of them good luck finding a mini.

Me: Well to say you have been in the job 22 years, you're obviously not a very good sales man. Good luck selling your mini.

Just basically a heads up if anyone decideds to communicate with this ill-educated person.

Then it probably is.

That price just seems too low to me.

I'd leave it, especially after the texts he sent you!

+1

I wouldn't touch it with someone else's bargepole - especially if the seller gets rude/aggressive asked a perfectly reasonable question!

He can't of used eBay that much as he has 0 feedback. So as you said above, he is either useless at selling cars, or he is so rude that no one wants to deal with him or he is completely clueless about using eBay.....

Lol yep stay clear. Though the story does ring a bell with me. My mpi was on eBay, seller had zero feedback and was not very helpful over the phone. Also the price, 1500 for an 1998 mpi with little rust, too good to be true, but hey, I jumped on a boat from Belfast to Scotland with the cash thinking I may as well take the risk. Well obviously I bought it, intact got the deal of a life time. Ends up the seller was just not a great 'people' person lol

But this guy sounds like a rite a-hole. Manners costs nothing!

By the sounds of all this... Do you not think the stolen part could've been true? Just a possibility. I mean he says it is, says it has new shocks on the gearbox, creates a new account after every sale. Sounds a bit strange if you ask me.

Reminds me, I think the shocks on my gearbox need changing. Wonder does he do servicing?

I was interested in this one the last time it was on ebay, was bid up to about £1000.

Since it had tax and MOT i asked the guy if it would make it back to Manchester OK, he told me it would no problem. Then I saw the indicators and wipers were not working so I immediately thought 'forget it, the guys a to**er'

If he cant be bothered changing something as simple as a fuse then there are bound to be loads of other problems in the pipeline!!
