Track days your looking at around £175, hill climbs, most are around £50-£100
For any type you will need a helmet, but many circuits rent out helemts, or there are places that you can get them cheaply from.

IMO, dont by a cheap helmet! (£300 starting price)

So what about Road Rallies then? Where do you look to join them and what is the premise exactly, are they like regularities?

Maidstone and midkent motor club are the ones to speak to about this for our area dude. Road rallies are more about having a good navigator and good navigation skills.

This doesn't really make sense. Helmets need to meet stringent tests. If they pass the test they get the required approval. This ultimately means that a cheap helmet is no worse than an expensve one for safety if they comply wit hthe same standard.

What you pay for with an expensive helmet is the name. It may be true that a more expensive helmet will have a bit more R&D, so may be better finished, more comfortable, more stylish. But it's not likley to be more safe.

And why is £300 suddenly safe?
