Any advances on Wine gum, Wooden Spoon or Neil Diamond ?
Give you a clue, we replaced the standard air filter with a K&N type jobby from Mini Spares earlier that day in a Cheech & Chong moment
;p

Oh well, in that case! Is it a South African bunny rabbit, recently released from animal prison for the double murders of the brothers grim, washed up, drinking whiskey out of a brown paper bag whilst repeatedily singing Mr Bojangles?Give you a clue, we replaced the standard air filter with a K&N type jobby from Mini Spares earlier that day in a Cheech & Chong moment

Nearly !
It was a washer ! Somehow it managed to get itself jammed in between the base of the valve guide and the top of the bottom of the valve preventing it from closing fully, if that makes sense !
The worst thing is we cant work out where it came from ! We looked last night and there doesnt appear to be anything missing from any of the bits we would have touched for the air filter and it doesnt match any of the other washers in that area. Somehow we managed to get it into the carb though !
It would also appear that it caused slight damage to the top of the piston in that cyclinder as there is a slight gouge mark in it which suggests that it actually went into the chamber, got mashed then somehow got back up through the inlet and jammed itself in there.
Luckily it doesnt appear to have caused any damage to the valve or the surrounding area. We refitted the valve and it seats in perfectly
All I can say is dont let dumbass stoners near you car !
