Hi, im 15 currently restoring a mk1, replacing the engine as we speak, were using a 995 a-series but will use a vauxhall 1.6 when available then putting on a clubman front :) sportpack arches, 7x13wheels and flip front going for the racing look! :(

Hi, Dan 998cc A series is a good engine to start with. Done well they are almost bullet proof. Sorry I assume you made a typo of the cc's. All the A series engines produced were 848, 997 cooper, 998, 1098, (970, 1071 and 1275 Cooper S's) there were many variations of each size i.e. Mini 1000, Mini Cooper,Mini Mayfair etc all had the 998 engine with different heads and so it goes............thats what made the Mini the success it is today being interchangeable with so many other bits. Keep up the good work. Cheers Kev.

I'm 14 as well !! and have been saving up for my mini since i was 5 lol
I nearly bought a mini a few months back but the problem is, is that my parents don't have a garage and I don't want to spend money on it and try and keep it from not going rusty lol

I've also set up a Facebook Page called Future Mini Drivers where we can all chat about our Mini Dreams and talk about how your Mini Project is getting a long if your lucky enough to have one!
