Lol why does it suck? I think he means he bought it cheap knowing the faults and he's gonna rebuild the steering/suspension. I may be mistaken though :)

it may be me but i read it as he's had it all ready for MOT then it failed for those reasons meaning he has to spend out more to try and pass the MOT, may just be me though :)

much like my mate miniman24, i'm a slightly older kid at 18 too. But had mine since my 2006 which I think would have made me ummm younger, i don't do maths ;) Biology is my strong area lol.
The first I wasn't too involved with, with my dad doing lots and me chipping in, but I've now got my second, a clubman estate (getting nice and rare now ;) ) and am well stuck in, I do practically everything, other than stuff i'm still learning on, like welding and wiring :)
The mini ride is an expensive one, and you will need time and patience and at times want to throw the hammer at the bloody things, but the good times hugely outweigh the bad times.
Don't need to say this with ur folks having minis, but when buying one be patient (unlike me :P ), haggle and NEVER buy without viewing and seeing the documents first (unlike me ) :D

Enjoy the ride :)
JK
