got some brake unions from work but they don't fit what sort of unions do i need??

The correct ones.
What sort did you get from work? Where do you work? (might give us a clue as to the first question). In what way do they "not fit"?
Most of the fittings on the Mini are 3/8UNF. Most modern cars will use M10x1mm but it's not a hard and fast rule - there's always that rogue out there that uses something completely different.

The sizes used on the Classic Mini are.....................
3/8"unf
M10x1
M12x1 (Only Yellow tag master cylinder though)
However as above the majority are 3/8"unf
Also you have male, female and different seats so for each size you could have 4 combinations (except the M12x1 as there is only one type used)
Making a total of 9 different flare ends.

Does anyone have a list of how many of each is required? I.e. how many female unf, how many male unf and how many male/female M10?
This is for an MPI mini but would imagine this is the same for all Minis 94 onwards?
