I think for a half sleeve with a fair bit of fill you are looking at the 500 mark.

My sleeve cost around 900!

different places charge different amounts per hour...

the more "famous" the inker the more he/she will charge.

but do remember, you get what you pay for.. im looking at getting my back done with a picture about A4 size and was quoted £500-600.

i have a friend working on the picture first then i'll be going to the guy who does my little brother and seeing how much and how long its gonna be and mine will be in just black ink too.

My tattooist was originally a minimum of £70 an hour, and if you can sit it a half sleeve would only take 2 days.
varies on you and the speed/quality balance of your tattooist.

Like already has been mentioned it varies alot on the shop and there quality of work. I'v got aroung 13 tattoo's and half of them are by the same bloke who does an awesome job for me. Booked in to finish my full leg off in october, cannot wait. It's cost me over a grand but it looks the muts nuts.

My tattooist (Gung Ho, Bimringham) was £80 an hour. After about 6 or 8 hours i noticed it dropped it to about £65 an hour. I guess the more they see you, they dont mind charging a little less.

£65 is the max you'll pay a hour in Portsmouth but there are so many tattoo shops here that they have got to stay competitive.
