Wow, genius, you're very good at answering questions!!
Couldn't find the lead on the Internet, should I attempt doing it without ? I'm thinking it'll be too fiddly.
Just out of interest, how is it you work out that an amp is ok for a sub or certain speakers?
As it says sometimes for example, 30w 2 channels at 4 ohms or 80w bridged at 2 ohms or something like that, is it east to work out? Am not sure what bridged means, but I gather its if you have a sub you bridge the connections somehow to give it al, the power?
Would rather learn than have to ask questions every time you see!
Thanks again for all the help, am very appreciative!
Edit: just to add, 6x9s going back tomorrow. Going to buy some front speaker pods I'm thinking. Do you know of some options ? Have seen the ones by the guy called rogers (I think) on here, was just thinking if there's any others? Thinking 6.5 inch speakers.
Well a lot of knowing what’s ‘right’ simply comes from experience…
As low as 20 watts can be enough for a front set of speakers right up to 300watts per driver.
Subs again I’ve heard/had systems with an 80watt amp powering a sub right up to 2kw (SQ systems)
For a nice simple SQ setup in a mini 30 to 100 watts should be enough for the full range speakers and 150 to 400 for the sub.
This is based on using a 6.5” comp set (passive) and a 10 or 12” in the boot.
This should give you a reasonably balanced system.
(If the speakers are way off in the back or the subs on the rear seats, then that makes and differences to power needs etc.)
When you take the 6x9’s back you should if possible look to get your money back and buy online as this will be a lot cheaper.
Then a set of 6.5” component speakers (Mid and Tweeter) should be on the shopping list.

The Vibe ranges are good value and the lite air have a small depth Mid which would be easy to fit in the mini.
You can then use a set of the optimise rail mounted pods with the 6.5 mid with the tweeter on the dash rail in the corners or on the A-piller about 2 to 4 inch’s up.
Aim the Passengers side tweeter at the driver left ear, and the driver’s side tweeter and the passengers right ear.
Aim the mids so they point a little up and in to the car.
