But it has changed...

Not to the one I uploaded! I've no idea where this old one popped up from!

Upload the picture you're trying to use to Photobucket and link me it, I'll see if there is any reason it shouldn't work.

I think someones asked this before but I cant find it.....When I view a topic after I come out of it its highlighted white, then it stays highlighted white and doesnt show me new posts or how many have viewed. It doesnt come up if I press 'View New Content' either. Its only seems to refresh new posts/views if I sign out for a while then come back in. A few times I think Ive had no response but look in anyway and theres 3 replys. Hope that makes sense >_<

Try pressing CTRL+F5. It might be that your browser is holding a cache of the page.

Another thing i'm having problems with is changing my profile picture. It doesn't work for me? I select a photo to upload and it loads for a while trying to upload it and then just says - Failed to set new photo.

I've tried it with loads of different pictures aswell. Any ideas?

How big is the picture? It must be smaller than 100KB or the system will reject it.

Yeah 2mb is way too big haha.

I might look in to getting the system to resize the image for you, rather than it just outright rejecting your picture. Best of both worlds then.

Oh Good lord... I come back off my hols and find that TMF have converted to a forum system that, frankly, made me leave another forum when they moved over to it... What exactly was wrong with the old system anyway? It worked well, and wasn't modelled on Facebook with all the Likes and crap...

Sigh.

It'd be good if you could but since you can resize and compress the photo with standard windows software its not vital.

Just a little note in brackets to say max image size is 100kb would be enough really as I didn't know what was going wrong.

Sigh.

We've not converted anything. We were always using Invision Power Board, it was just massively out of date. I have already mentioned throughout this thread the reasons behind upgrading to the latest version but I'll summarise them for you:
  • Security Improvements
  • New Features
  • Improved Database
As for being modelled on Facebook, it isn't. This is just web 2.0 and you're not going to escape it I'm afraid.

Yeah, you're right. I'll put it on the low priority list.

I agree, I noticed that had vanished and wondered why they got rid of it. I'll sort that out.
