Yep, it'll be confusing until we work it out, then we'll love it and soon forget about the old one (will take a while to get used to a list of posts with no yellow/red/purple minis next to them though!).

As for the '+1' icon down by the social networking stuff, that's Google's answer to Facebook's 'Like" feature - it's next to all their search results as well a load of other places.

I for one like the upgrade, thanks to the TMF techies for their work!

I'm glad you're all liking it so far. I know there is alot of new stuff but you'll get used to it!

Reputation
If enabled, you will see reputation options in the corner below each post. You may see an icon representing the reputation other members have given for that post, along with icons to give reputation. To give the post a positive reputation, click the icon or to give the post a negative reputation, click the icon. On some boards, you may see a button to Like content, such as this: If you choose to do this, it will show that you "Like" a certain post, and will also add a reputation point to that post. You may only be able to give positive or negative reputation, and for some users you may not be able to give reputation at all.

Sharing Topics
At the bottom of each topic you will see "Share this topic" followed by a number of links that allow you to email the topic to someone else, share a topic on Twitter, post it to Facebook, print the topic, or download and save the topic. Simply press the appropriate link and follow the on-screen instructions.

The stars on some topics are when users could rate topics previously, these were there and visible on the old layout too.

just like to add, I'm absolutely loving the mobile version. I'm on my phone now on a poor wifi connection on holiday and its very fast. thanks for your hard work

To add to the comments on the mobile version - there's a link at the bottom of the mobile version to the IP boards app, I've installed this on my iPod touch but I just get error messages when I try to open the forum using it - is TMF not available on the app?

Would it be possible to get thread previews back? It was tremendously useful being able to hover over a thread and get the small popup previewing the thread, which has gone from the new layout.

i like the new layout, its actually alot simpler to use and you can be more definate in when choosing different options like the email notifications of replies so thanks to the tmf team
