Can anyone tell me how i can go lower the front of my car more in a safe way? 10" wellers all round hilos gaz shockers. front is just touching bump stops and hilos adjusted all the way down. rear is about half a inch from the arch happy with that.

Don't remove the locking but! It does just that locks the cone! How would you like it if you have a crash and your insurance sees that?

Only way to go really really low is on coil overs or air/hydraulics

You could take out the locknut and wind them in fully, they wont budge then, but I am surprised that your bottoming out the hi-lo's without sitting iut on the stops. Mine is on gen Hi-Los and there is still some more they will go in and they are on the stops? What you could also do is get the knuckles machined down.

Anotheroption is what the Migs do and remove the bush between the subframe tower and the bulkhead and that'll give you anothe 1/2" drop

My rubber cones are new all round the car (about a year old now) that could be why? surely if i took the bush out from the sub frame tower the other mounts wouldn't line up? (solid mounted front subby)

Also was reading on another thread that ball joints will be affected from removing the bump stops? >_<

Mines lowered. Rear needs dropping a bit more now I'v put smaller wheels on. Waiting to get some stiffer shocks on for that though.

Just agreed to buy a sump guard as well. I caught my sump on a speed bump the other day so thought it would be a good idea lol.

Could be your problem then, looks like you got some good ones :)

yes, if you take the bush out then you will need to redrill the shell for the subframe mounts

Its not removing the bumpstops that casues any issues with the balljoints, it is running it that low. Not sure what the migs do mind.
