Not sure from them but could also be a remote box, but seems to have some added bits in the other end ???

are you sure?
Can you get straight cut automatic gears? as the gears are definantly stright cut but i was told in an autobox so now a little confused. The box looks a little modified with bits grinded off it here there and everywhere. Ill try get some pics and post them.
Yes i am sure.
No straight cut auto gears. They are pretty unloved boxes...
The photos are from a pre A+ small idler box, have you the laygear as well to go with it?

That gearcase is a bit tired in the idler gear department as GW says but you could rescue it by using a roller bearing conversion for the idler couldn't you GW?

If it were a decent 3 stud A+ then maybe worth holding onto incase of emergency, but same with Dave... I've got A series cases stacked up outside
If I had not had a rush on in January, I would have built some A's up and taken them to Bingley to flog off just to get them out me way !

As suspected the box is a remote, and have suggested that it may be better to shy away from that if it's to be used in a turbo application, mainly because of the size of the nose on the 3rd motion and the smaller Pinion retaining nut, but also the fact that it's a weaker case than the A+, and a small idler on a turbo is not the ideal situation.
