My name is Simon and im new to the mini scene and hopefully will be buying my first one in the next couple of days.
Im looking for some advice though, Ive found a car which is a 1275 clubman so im told. I dont know what im looking for in the dif between a 1000cc 1100cc or 1275 so it could be anything. It doesnt have a log book at the moment as its been stood a couple of years but the seller "a breakers yard" is applying for it and I wont pick it up or pay for it until thats there.
Ive had a look and cant seem to find 1275 clubmans listed so can i guess from this if it is a 1275 its been retro-fitted?
Its looks in grubby but ok knick and is a project anyway, the guy wants £400 and thats with new sills put on which he can get done for me. the boot floor and roof gutters look good and the footwell seems fine.
What do you reckon?
any help or links would be greatly appreciated.

main things to look for are rust or holes!!!
Anything else can be repaired or replaced pretty cheaply (he says!!)

gives a very rough guide but that was only with a quick look, if you search you might be able to find better buying guides.
