Ok my mini leaks oil in several places, what im wanting to do is try and replace all the parts in a mini engine bay that is likely too leak oil.

So far i know the gearbox selector leaks aswell as the dipstick.

Any ideas where else it could be leaking? and how i could irradicate these problems?

clutch housing (if clutch oil seal has gone), transfer gear housing, timing chain gasket, timing chain crank seal, output shaft (pot joint) seals, output shaft gaskets, diff gasket, speedo drive gasket, oil filter housing.

Most likely will be the output shaft seals and gaskets, as well as the selector shaft.

dipstick shouldnt leak unless you're building up crankcase pressure, which, by the way is bad. check your crankcase breather filter/hoses (depending which you have),

Or the teeny tiny little plate or seal on and around the gear selector shaft at the back of the engine...

by the way. all minis leak oil, it's a design feature to stop the front subframe from rusting!

I like your technical jargon ... !!

theres only tiny drips, and i think more when I use the gears more - havent tested it fully yet (and pooing my pants thinking about it).. luckily Im now carrying half a service station in the mini - no room for passengers...
