I'm new to this mini world so bear with me.

Plans for the car at the moment.

New suspension, possibly spax 40th anniversary ones, or koni absorbers. Is it worth going to coil over?

Stage 1 kit from www.minispeed.co.uk kits seem good. Side exit 2.25, any suggestions there?

SU Throttle Body for SPI, meant to improve performance but I'm not sure if it will.

Pipercross Induction kit.

New radiator to keep her chilly.

Eventually a roll cage, if I'm ever going to club rally it I'll need it.

More extreme improvment would be a 7 port cylinder head. Thats something I'm not sure I'd ever want.

Whats your opinions, can you think of better things I should spend my money on the mini?

Well if you want some performance from an exhaust dont go big size wise, to big and you will loose back pressure. If thats just the back box then you will be ok. I got mine from mini speed to, for my injection DTM twin stage one kit stainless link pipe and back box. Makes a great sound to

Yeh its just the back box thats at 2.25. Not sure waht it is straight through though. I'm not big on, err big exhasts either. If anything I like them quiet unless you really give it stick then it deserves to groan.

The right size i think is 1.75. If you like the quieter noise go for the smaller side exit ed4ran has one and it gets louder when he goes faster.

Stick with a 1.75. the 2.25" will look huge in comparision I have a 1.7/8" and even though it's onle 1/8" in wider in diameter it's noticably bigger than the 1.75
