glad you are O.K

If you have the wrong type of wheel nuts this can happen say aluminum wheels and steal wheel type nuts.

The nuts have a seat on them if the seat is not sitting fully then the stud will shear off even if the nut is tightened to the correct torque

When you fit new wheels you should retorque them after 100 miles

:erm:

Ive got spacers on too! The extender studs are really poop material.

Think im gona get these alleycats refurbed. FAST.

So I can get rid of the spacers.

I had my Front left wheel come off too. Driving down bluebel. 60mph. Wheel started knocking. As I pulled in to the "hard shoulder" Thingey. The car stoped. and then the wheel gracefully fell away from the car.

Zero damage tho.

Erm, this wheel business is a bit of a worry.....! :saywhat:

main thing is noone got hurt, still bad luck tho
there is a reason why 99% of the time its the left side, its the rotation of the wheel.
thats why all trucks have left handed threads on the left side.
you would think they would do that on cars, dont know why they dont

They do it on the castle hub nut. Not sure why they didn't on the wheel studs.
