Hi all,

So, I've had some calipers posted to me on Tuesday, from Birmingham, and they still haven't turned up.

This morning, the postman dropped some letters in, and that's it.

I was wondering - do heavier items, like two calipers, come in a Royal Fail van at a different time to when the postman does?

I just want to know so that I'm not sitting around today expecting a parcel that's not going to come.

Thanks,

Simon.

it will depend how there posted. Heavier items obviously cant be carried around in the bag and will sometimes be dropped round by a van later in the day

Yeah, that's what I hoped/thought. Looks like I'll be waiting around then.

if i ever get parcels, they usually turn up 1st thing in the morning, but depends on which courier you use, its its royal mail, its usually 1st thing, any other company and you could be waiting in all day, for them to turn up at 7pm at night!

Right, so if they haven't come by now, they're unlikely to come today?

Well I'm pretty sure; the guy who sent them posted them through Royal Mail, so I presume that they are..

Mine usually posts his at around 1pm, but today he did it at about 9:30am.

But since two calipers are too to fit in his bag, I'm expecting a van.

Double post, but..

There is NOTHING worse than waiting for a parcel to arrive. I'm getting more and more angry by the minute.

I've been at school all week, and I've been expecting these calipers EVERY day since Monday (communication error with the sender meant that he actually posted them on Tuesday), and each time I've got home and been dissapointed. ARGHHHHHHHHHH!

Do they do parcel deliveries on a weekend? I'm sure it'll tell you on their website; they aren't Santa, they can't deliver everywhere at once.

Yeah, they definately do parcel deliveries on a Saturday. I've had a few parcels delivered before on a Saturday.

:"Normal deliveries and collections should be taking place in all parts of the country on Saturday."

Couriers and Royal Fail all work a route
If you are at the start of that route - then great you parcel will arrive first
If you are at the end of that route - then you will wait
A watched pot never boil's
and Ive had Parcel delivery's from Royal Fail by van Late Sat Morn
If a few posties are off on hols / sick , then everything will be later as others have to fill in
hope it arrives soon
I'm waiting for gearbox bearings - for 2 weeks now :(

Mhmm..

I've seen two different courier vans come past my house.

A watched pot never boil's

Actually, a watched pot of water will boil if it reaches 100 degrees celsius. :P :P

Thanks though.
