No, it wasn't sent as a recorded item.

Just been to the local sorting office to ask, and they said that there was no sign of it at that moment. I then said could they check the warehouse place where a lot of non recorded packages go, and the man said that I would have to wait until Monday.

So I'm gonna most likely put the old calipers back on so that I can drive it. I'll clean up the pistons enough so that they can be pushed all the way back, and then use my new pads and discs.

Thanks for all the help everyone,

Simon.

Actually, a watched pot of water will boil if it reaches 100 degrees celsius.

Not always.

What class were they posted? A pair of calipers would cost a lot to post first class, somewhere around £20.00. They would be too heavy for second class. So they probably came by standard parcels, the absolute minimum time for that class is 3 days. I wouldn't be at all worried yet if I were you. If you don't want to pay out to get something sent next day you can't really complain can you?

The postage cost me £15.00 which I presume was standard.

Large items are sent via Parcel Force in a red van if they're done at a Post Office.

Yeah, that's what the man at the post office told me. I was only annoyed because I really wanted to change my discs pads and calipers this weekend. But, never mind, I've just changed my pads and discs today, so that I can have it running. I'll change the calipers when they arrive. :)
