there are atleast 2 mini specialists on the same industrial estate, dont tarnish them all with the same brush as Vale Minis, the guy who lived over the road from me ran a different one, i cant remember the name though, all i remember is its got a C in and ends with Autos, used to be something something minis, as i said, its now something something autos, his name is craig hence i remember the C lol, cant vouch for their work personally but they are a different company to Vale Minis.

Don't go and help yourself to stuff in his workshop - chances are it will be crap anyway and secondly it makes it far too easy for him.

I would be fuming about that. Its a lot of money to hand over. At least with a cheque there is some sort of paper trail for the money. A full list of agreed work would be helpful as well.

Good luck getting this sorted.

I paid the garage an unsuspected visit . Dave owned up he had lied and stolen my parts and they had been resold for his profit . He signed a document to say he would repay me £1000.00 for substandard workmanship . He also gave me a boot full of old mini bits and a few tools . I've sold the whole lot on e bay and pulled back £500.00 . He then offered me a cheque for £500.00 .... Guess what ... It never showed up . And he never answers his phone . Seriously everyone ... Do not fall into his trap . I have already set the wheels in action with the law .

Just to add . I paid with cheque and have full details hand written by Dave and also a trail of emails and even an admission of guilt .

Good man, you should now stand a good chance of recovering the other money he owes you, but it make take some time unless you get a good solicitor, your legal man will then pass his charges onto Vale Minis.
Just make sure you give him all paperwork etc regarding the problem.
You should get 30 minutes free consultation from a decent solicitor to outline your case.

GOOD LUCK.

i dont know if this is true or not, but a friend of mine bought a car from there which some time later i saw myself. in my opinion it was a blatant ringer.

in my opinion, it was originally a special edition mini (i wont say of what variety) and every part of the car was exactly as it should be for that model,
engine, interior, wheels, etc.

in my opinion, the car had been badly repainted a different colour (allot of the original colour was visible), engine number removed, and a different vin plate rivetted on along with older number plates.

however, this is only my opinion and not to be taken as facts. (for legal reasons)

Well i wish you all the best. Thanks for the warning as i do tend to look at some of the smaller companies to see if there is a good deal on things.
I will never forget that arseholes name. Thanks
