
One point on the hydraulics though is there may be no sign of a leak on master cylinder, but the top working seal of the piston may be leaking, the fluid will just return to the resevoir rather than onto the floor in the car.
So if you depress the clutch pedal while keeping it depressed, and the clutch arm slowly creaps back, yet there is no sign of fluid anywhere, overhaul the master cylinder, but better still replace it.
Oh and as Dan says, get all the bits you need and replace what you need when you find out what is the fault
