I'm thinking about putting two 6 inch subs under the back seat.
Has any one got any ideas on if this will be werth the effort or a waste of time?
I have no subs or amp at the moment and don't wish to use up my boot space. Would one be better than two?
I was thinking of buying an after market speaker board that fits under the rear seats. Any ideas welcome................

Iv got a pair of JL audio 6.5" (i think) under my back seat. Its fully sound deadened under there and sealed up.

Personally i like it, although going from a proper install was noticable, its no SPL winner, but it give what i wanted.

I may be thinking about stripping it all out soon, the cars sat in the garage as a bare shell for the last year so going through i lot of changes!

Hope this helps.

You can't just use a speakerbored really, you need it to be completely sealed (enclosure) and as much deadening as you can get :).

'tangband' make a pretty good looking 6x9 sub, iirc they also make a 6.5 one

Tang Brand or TB are one of the best speaker manufactures you've never hread of.. :)
You can buy with confidence.

Also these are great, awful brand name 'Car Power' but awesome mini subs.

Il try to get some pics for you at the weekend. The cars at my parents garage, (I got it back from the bodyshop the same week I completed on my house, bad timing!)

The amps are mounted on the back seat area, I removed the seat cushion and made a 'false' seat, where the power distribution and amps sit.

Search on this site for a member called Roofless & read through his thread on the 4 subs he put in his kick panel. That will give you a good idea of what can be achieved.

It's all about installtion, corect setup (phase, gains etc) and quality of kit.

To say one install location is bad, is a sweeping statement and is over simple.

Your new mate I suggest you read through some of the older threads before 'giving advice'. :)
