I like this qoute in the description:

"The only thing that is starting to appear on the car is rust patches. Hence the price."

What other things start to appear on a mini i wonder? Women hopefully!!

In fact it is quite possible...

You can by cars which are not registered..

A mate, few years back now, had a late model MG midget in his garage, unregistered, and it was stored as an investment. When you apply for registration, it gets a current registration date..

There's even an 04 plate classic Mini round about....

I saw a 51 plate round the corner a few days ago...

Moped

Yeah a few years back i saw a original RSP for sale, with no number plate. But why does it say manufacturing date, not date of registration?

A little misleading

Yup, in 1999 5 G40's were found in the back of a VW dealership in the UK, unregistered. 5 lucky buggers got zero milage G40's on a 'T' plate with top end spec for very little money....

As for that 'Thirty', its just blatantly not a thirty. As Mills says, its more like a Mayfair or City with some badges on

You can get your V5 changed to specify a different model variant. The fact that the DVLA register says its a 30 could just mean that someone has written to the DVLA asking the variant designation be changed to a 30. This happens a lot with Scoobys, particularly imports where the model is just down as 'Impreza' and the car is a 'Type R' or 'Spec C Type RA'. I know a few people who have done it to make sure the V5 acurately reflects the variant they have and none have been challenged to provide proof. Unfortunately, this trick is also used by a number of dodgy sellers to flog look-alikes as rare (or even not-so-rare) variants.

Would love to know why you think it's blatantly not a 30

I'd say the simple answer is that it was just a late registration. The spec of the car tallys with it being a 30, look at the shine on that paint, the 30's came with a coat of lacquer, even the black ones.

It's slightly worrying that people can be so negative and quick to put things down.
