So, my main squeeze Matilda, is now officially off the road for a front end rebuild.
And a side rebuild.
And the other side rebuild.
In fact, the roof & boot are fine, but that's it. :ohno:

While she's being dissected & rebuilt, the original plan was to be driving my 1275GT, but that ain't ready (by a long shot), and I have now accidentally bought another mini. I tried not to. Really I did. I was looking at two-seater roadsters & eurobox hatchbacks, but then I was offered an mpi for much cheapnesses.

This is Ploppy.

Standard nonsportspack Mpi Cooper with half-leather monaco interior. I think (s)he's female, but I'm not entirely sure. :shy: If you reckon you can determine the gender of Ploppy, then please let me know, I don't want to offend him/her.

(S)he's a little tired & tatty, but (s)he is solid, has 12 months MOT & drives brilliantly.

While (s)he's living with me, I shall clean him/her up, replace knackered bits & make him/her a little more presentable for selling on when my main squeeze is back on the road.

First thing is to get him/her properly clean & see what's needed.

But the list has already started:

New gearknob (magnolia leather as standard)
New dash (walnut single clock as standard)
New boot liner (probably as standard)

I'll get some more pics up when (s)he's clean.

Ooh, he/she is nice! I like that colour, although surely not to your usual tastes Ju? :P

Non-sp MPis  It all looks nicely original.

Cheers Mr James. Nope, not to my tastes, really, but it means I won't have a problem rehoming him/her later on! (I think I need a sticker in the rear window saying "My real mini's a goth" ).

I hope we develop a bit of a relationship (errr...me and The Plopster, I mean... :shy: ). I'm not feeling the love yet, though. Maybe because (s)he's filthy & smelly. Not sure.

Oh how you play with my emotions!

Show the plop some love and love will come back to you! I couldn't imagine owning a Mini and it not developing, even if he/she is only staying for a while.

Looks like a nice little thing, I didn't imagine you buying a powder blue car for a nanosecond!!!!

It does look effeminate , so she/could be transgender?

Therefore perhaps a unisex name?

http://pregnancy.abo...unisexnames.htm

Mind you I do also like "poo" related names as well!!

Rocky says he knows a cool chick when he sees one and what's she doing Friday night?
Three minis, eh? Good, I feared you were gaining your sanity there for a while.
Enjoy Ploppy. I'm sure we'll get used to the name :-|

You two think Ploppy is not his/her name?

If Rocky thinks she's a girl, then Ploppy probably does too. Even if they're both wrong. :teehee:

Shifty, I know the colour is shameful. I failed goth school. Twice. :shy: She is surf blue, though, is she not? Smurf blue?

If she expects me to deliver it, she's got another thing coming. Phil can giver her a lift over in the picanto.

Good outfit, though. I'm gonna have to bleach & re-dye my entire wardrobe to match.
