Nearly there but not quite, dont you mean....
If it idles alot, drinks far too much 'juice' and smells odd its a... him,
If starts well on a morning, tidy bodywork and looks after you... her???

I'm sure thats what you meant ....WASNT IT :goaway:

Well gender is still questionable. O_O

But, after our first commuting day (~40 mile round trip, wiggle lanes & A roads), I am pleased to report that (s)he is a hell of a lot of fun to drive. :D

Doesn't matter that I don't like the interior.
Doesn't matter that I don't like the exterior.
He or she is a true corner-hugger, breathes brilliantly, has a fab little burble when pushed, and has already won fans both at work & down our street. :proud:

Top work, our kid.

Well it never lasts long, does it?

Bloody minis. >_<

Fan cuts in too early, before she's even warm.

Idle was really rough too, so she's had a new ******* mould sensor.

Hopped in her this morning to get to work early to find we have no indicators or hazards. >_<

Back on the bus for me.

Not yet. I am at work.

She's having a sign printed for the back window saying "NO INDICATORS, SORRY!" & I'm rapidly relearning the old skool hand signals.....

I spent a week with no indicators when I was on holiday. I became quite proficient with hand signals, it's just a shame no one else on the roads nowadays knows what they mean

Yersss. This may be a problem. I might print out a guide & put that in the back window too!

Indicators on the blink?

Check you still have reverse 'n brake lights - same fuse (C6).

Have a fiddle with the relay - back one on the driver's side inner wing. It should click when you turn the ignition on.

The flasher unit is hiding behind the middle of the dash.

INDICATORS AND HAZARD SYSTEM OPERATION
Indicators
The indicators will only operate when the starter switch is in position II, the
hazard system will operate irrespective of the starter switch position.
With the starter switch in position II, battery voltage on a G wire from fuse C6 in
the passenger compartment fuse box is supplied to one side of the direction
indicator relay coil on a G wire. Since the other side of the relay coil is connected
to earth, the relay will energise providing a path to the common of the direction
indicator switch on an LGN wire from the direction indicator/hazard warning unit
on an LGK wire.

Right
When the direction indicator switch is moved to indicate a right turn, a pulsed
voltage from the direction indicator/hazard warning unit on an LGK wire is
switched via the direction indicator relay contacts on an LGN wire to the direction
indicator switch common. The direction indicator switch re-directs the pulsed
voltage on a GW wire to the RH front and rear indicator lamps, side repeater
lamps and the direction indicator warning lamp in the instrument pack. Since the
other side of the lamps are permanently connected to earth on B wires they will
flash simultaneously.

Left
When the direction indicator switch is moved to indicate a left turn, a pulsed
voltage from the direction indicator/hazard warning unit on an LGK wire is
switched via the direction indicator relay contacts on an LGN wire to the direction
indicator switch common. The direction indicator switch re-directs the pulsed
voltage on a GR wire to the LH front and rear indicator lamps, side repeater
lamps and the direction indicator warning lamp in the instrument pack.. Since the
other side of the lamps are permanently connected to earth on B wires they will
flash simultaneously.

Hazard warning
When the hazard warning switch is operated, pulsed voltage is switched on an
LGK wire from the direction indicator/hazard warning unit on LGK wires to the
hazard warning switch. The switch contacts simultaneously connect the pulsed
voltage on GR and GW wires to the front and rear indicator lamps, side marker
lamps and both instrument pack warning lamps. In addition, the pulsed voltage is
switched on an LGG wire to the integral hazard warning lamp. Since the other
side of the lamps are permanently connected to earth on B wires the action of
the direction indicator/hazard warning unit causes all the connected lamps to
flash in unison.

Cheers Effel.

C6 is intact, brake lights are fine. It'll be the hard-to-poke-at flasher unit, won't it?

Note to self: if one mini is off the road, and the second one has to be rebuilt, don't buy a third to reliably get you to work on time. >_< Just get the bus. :bah:

Very likely 'tis the hidden flasher, yeah. Could just be the connector on the hazard switch tho'.

Whip the relay under the bonnet out 'n see if there's any oompf in that light green/brown wire. If there is look at the hazard switch, if not the flasher.

According to my other half she is actually Marc Almond (for reasons I can't post on this family forum  ).

Whatever The Plop's gender, he/she is now at the hospital having her dash removed. Immobiliser, alarm & the warning LED are also being sorted.

Minis are a serious pan in the harris. And wallet.

Thanks Uncle Pot.

I have my lovely Oyster Card, and am now enjoying cheap as chips public transport subsidised by the lovely tax-payers of That Lahndahn.

I wants rid of this mini. Sharpish.
