Looks good, maybe a little close compared to factory, but that's hardly a bad thing.. so long as it's opening and closing as it should, and you get a nice gap with the A panel, you should be fine!

Yes, I thought the gap looked a bit precise for a Mini. The door opens and closes cleanly now.

I may try to get a touch more clearance in case the other door has a more normal fit. I don't want to be beating the passenger's side A post in the opposite direction by a mile to close its gap up. :lol: At least the A post / flitch moves independantly behind the A panel's position.

Thanks for your help Peter. I wouldn't have had the confidence to take a club hammer to the A post otherwise.
