I'd like to pour out my sentiments regarding a piece of Revo Motorsports 7x13 Split Look we purchased from Huddersfield last year. We bought 4 sets of Genuine Revolutions last year and imported here to the Philippines. We have a mini trade shop here in Manila by the way. We sold the Split Look to a customer here and the customer can't fit the fourth rim complaining about the holes. We found out that it had a PCD 108 ( Ford Escort fitment ), so I decided to take it back with me in my flight back to the UK last month in time for the Stanford Hall event that Huddersfield attend every year. We told Andrew about the problem and he took the wheel back saying he will get the correct one from Revolution Wheels. During my entire 18-day stay in the UK, I phoned Huddersfield several times and I was told by Kate that Andrew will find out...Then I left for the Philippines and my partner took over the following up of the matter.

Being the UK partner of our Trade Shop, I called up Huddersfield for the first time and spoke to Kate saying she will speak to Andrew again with the promise to call me back but the promise never came(there is no word of honor).for the second time, again I called up Huddersfield and again spoke to Kate with the same story, so I decided to call Revolution directly and spoke to Chris-mentioned about the problem of the wheels that we purchased from Andrew as per Kate told me that Andrew has already contacted Revolution, but, then I found out that the problem has not been brought to their attention! I made a follow up call to Revo - Head Office where Huddersfield deal with and spoke to Graham but then I was again informed that there was no information that reached them from Andrew.
Now, you guys figure out who is telling the truth???

Thank you for having this Forum where we can share our bad experience.

I have a mental image of you taking a mini wheel on a plane as hand luggage.

Why didn't Huddersfield just do a straight swap with a wheel of the correct PCD. Then take the matter up with Revo as their supplier?

I'd be a bit peeved if I purchased goods, then the seller said 'thanks, we will talk to our suppliers and get back to you.' without any attempt to rectify the situation.

I don't trust Huddersfield, i've had a couple of bad experiences with them and have heard of many more. Keep on at them and don't give up till they do something about it!

You could easily form the opinion that Huddersfield's concept of responsibility stops when they take your money.

We still hope that Andrew will still iron out this problem. We've dealt with him smoothly for nearly a decade already...In fact, this is the second time we had problem with Revolution Wheels...Back in 2001, we ordered 4 sets of 6x12 Revos from MWS ( when they still carry the brand ). Like the ones from Huddersfield, all sealed and box intact. One of the rims was different in style but with the correct PCD...Not yet into the net before , I drew the design and faxed to Chris. Chris told me not to bring it back to the UK and just he will replace it no problem. He told me that the design was for the Japanese market. He got the replacement from his warehouse stock the moment I stepped in his office. I expected Andrew to do the same but I thought he doesn't have the same rim from his stock...Let's give the benefit of the doubt!

After loads and tons of costly long distance calls, we were able to get hold of Andrew. We demanded a refund but he refused. He said he didn't tell Revolution about the problem all along. We told him that we will post him in the net as he lied to us that already got the replacement unit when in fact he doesn't have any at all! Finally, we got a call from a certain Chris from Revolution saying they will be the one shipping out a piece for us. We clearly instructed to ship it via TNT Express. What he did was shipped the wheel thru DHL. Somebody fron the DHL called me up saying I have to pay import taxes because Revo put a value in it. I told DHL that it was a replacement. Now, it's been 3 days with no answer from Revolution.

Last purchase including the Revo was around 12 sets. No less than 60 sets were bought by us from them in the past and exported to the Philippines so I think they should look after us.

You need to contact Revo about those import charges, otherwise customs might destroy the item!

Huddersfield have the same problems all the time. I bought a set of wheels of them at a Himley show and they said they didn't have the wheel studs there and had left them at their work place and would post them when they got back. Anyway a few weeks passed and I rang up to find they never had them in the first place anyway and they were still on order. A few months past and no nuts!!!! It took something stupid like 4months for a set of nuts they were supposed to have back at the office!! Unless the items are in your hands and you can see them something tends to go wrong. There have been so many stories about their bad mail time and wrong items.

Regards Blue

Ah memories of 'buying' an exhaust on their site for a good price only to be phoned few days later that it was the wrong price, apparently they didn't have to sell it to me so they cancelled my order. Wasn't happy!

They are legally obliged to sell you them for the stated price... Or atleast that's what I was taught in school anyway!

So long as their T&C's have been written properly, they are under no obligation to sell an item to you at the stated price.
