He truly loved that mini. Yes it was setup but topgear episodes always are, but that's whats makes them funny....like the signs on the train.
Wasn't nice seeing the front end ripped off thought. I wonder if there are jag and rolls enthusiasts complaining about how they ruined their cars too? Lol
Was a terrible sight. Obviously scripted. Enjoyed it until the last ten minutes.

Not sure if it was a write off, in this thread someone has said that they brought it from GC mini's.The car wasn't scrapped. When we were looking for our Mini we visitied http://www.gcminis.co.uk/ in Swanley at the end of October... we chatted to the owner for ages and he was telling us how the researchers/car hunters bought a red Mini from him that was going to be used in the Xmas Special in India. He had the Mini in his Showroom for quite a while, so that would be why it wasn't 'on the road'.
It's being aired on Wednesday 28th december: - http://transmission....ember-8pm-bbc2/
Looking forward to seeing it.
Chris

Someone in the other thread says the mini was a write off beforehand, and it's just giving the mini good publicity anyway.
Maybe our cars are worth a little bit more now ;)
Mines priceless to me,

The only genuine laugh I had was Clarkson demonstrating the trouser press.
