Yeah I'm sure I'll be fine. If I don't post Sunday evening you will know I am lost in Cheltenham!
It's been nice to read people's comments about my very un-epic drive anyway and I feel less nervous at you lot just telling me to get on with it!

Mr Bearface is going to buy me a battery operated sat nav so I won't get lost in Cheltenham.
Well, ok then, try Bing maps + Google streetview.Er...I don't have a sat nav.
I am SO going to get lost.

Just do it, lady!
getting lost is the best way of exploring the country & getting to know your car.
I do it all the time....and I have Sat nav....and an atlas....and an A to Z......and a printout from google maps....
There's always the option of asking directions, too, since you're armed with two X chromosomes.

Agree with Juju...getting lost is almost compulsary!
Back roads are the best way to do it, preferably with grass in the middle of them, with the occasional cow/sheep to steer around and feel like a rally driver
Have fun!

Woot it only took me 3 hours to get to Cheltenham because I ended up in the Forest of Dean. Mini was a good girl, squeezed into the tiniest hotel parking space ever to. We had a nice time together and I feel more confident now. Not planning to drive any really long journeys though like some of you do!

I can do better than that, I ended up in Weston after aiming for S.Bristol (just the other side of the river)!
See, we said you'd be fine

I panicked the first long drive I'd taken the Mini on after my rebuild. Did about 110 miles to a show and back, it was fine really.
Then I went to another show a few weeks later and it broke down on the way
Glad you made it OK though, sounds like the journey there was interesting!
