Not much choice where I am, I use the massive 5 foot tall bottles, I have to rent the bottle, and each time I change it I get charged £82.. Ouch.

Does anyone know if the likes of BOC or any other gas place will let you collect bigger bottle say like an X or Y size bottle, I think that is 19 or 40ltr, or does it need to be delivered by them?

You can pick them up no problem. Had both sizes although the biggest one is a heavy beast.

I use Adams gas. Only 9L bottles but that's not a problem, places to refill are popping up alover the place.
I did have BOC but retail price are stupid and more for a business not for someone welding here ad there.

Yes you can pick them up , but they charge you £16 for the privilege. I collected a Y size bottle last week.
