Yeah I know :D , I haven't seen one like it either. The only problem is, Vinnie has a sunroof which means it has to be mounted a little further back than I would like. But I'm not complaining :P

A bit of Mini roof rack history might be of interest to some.
The rally Minis never actually drove on competitive sections with their roof racks on. But, on the Monte Carlo Rally in 1966 there was a limit to the number of tyres a competing car could use as all wheels/tyres needed on the event had to be carried in the competing car. This gave the Minis a problem as they could only get 2 or 3 spares secured inside on the back seat, so they ran on the 'concentration run' with roof racks on which their extra studded tyres for later were transported. When they got to the Alps and the rally-proper started, the roof racks were removed, the spares with the studs were fitted and off they went on their winning way without the roof racks. Of course, that was the year when they 'won', but were all disqualified for having illegal lights, together with Roger Clark in the Lotus Cortina. I did the event that year in a 'works' NSU 1000TTS and we too had a roof rack to get our new studded tyres to the start of the competitive bit. It was great when the roof rack was removed as we gained an extra 15 to 20 mph top speed due to the drag reduction.
Ah, those were the days
