Definately :D People either absoloutely love my car, or think it's an impractical pile of poo.

I know where I'm at, so I'm happy either way :)

Might have even convinced a friend to get a mini too, so we can share and help each other, as well as go on trips together.

Simon.

Oh, and thanks for the title change.

P.S. - Plus, we got a fantastic photo out of the whole episode of two of my friends. The one on the right is doing movember, which is why the photo was taken; for his movember blog. (Don't ask me why he's doing a blog).

Just so we know, none of those people are me.

Movember? He looks about 12!

LOL! He'll be getting told this story first thing Monday morning.

Both of them are actually 17 going on 18. The guy on the right, who's doing movember, is actually getting on alright. He's grown one before, and did it successfully last year's movember. :P

Hi all.

VERY VERY good news.

Turns out we were very lucky. Here's what Andy said:

"As the repairs could be done quickly I made the decision to proceed with them as my specialist was on hand to test it before and after repairs if we waited it would be another week before he is down again, after tracing through the wiring I replaced some burnt out fuse links in the power feed lines which restored power to the relays, after that the car ran, we then tested the ecu which after a reboot ran fine, even the alternator survived which is unusual but the burnt out wiring we repaired did its job and protected the system well. I
need to run the car again tommorow to make sure all is ok so I would say it could be picked up on saturday."

Brilliant news, and I'm glad we were so lucky!

Thanks to all who commented,

Simon.

That is very good news. I am pleased to hear it. Good to know there is robustness in the MPi electronics.
