the pipe you need is just silicone tube.
any pipe which if you suck on it (like a straw) wont compress.
you will need a take off on the carb, either a spacer available from minispares or metro manifolds have them already on.

i have a minispares stage 1 manifold and the take off hole has a blank screwed into it. i was just a bit confuzed by what im suposed to connect the tube to on the rear of the gauge? its a threaded part that sticks out?

ive got a TIM vac gauge, and im using silicone hose which is 1mm smaller in diameter (so its a squeeze on).
ive got the joiner piece in the bulkhead, then a larger diameter pipe from the joiner to the take off on the manifold.
so its 3mm pipe from gauge to bulkhead ---> 3mm to 7mm joiner ---> the 7mm pipe from joiner to carb takeoff.
the attachment on the dial is smaller than the take off on the mani, hence the need for a joiner.
i got 2 metres of red silicone hose ( 1 of each of the 2 diameters) and the joiner, off eBay for less than £8 i think.
hope that makes sense?
im confusssseeed

lol im not explaining if only i had a camera! this looks like it would fit on the rear of my gauge http://www.minispare...ty=pb&pid=37667
but im not sure if its the correct size thread :s. you must just push the tube onto the back of your gauge? mine needs to have the threaded adaptor on the back :s

yea i did.
i had a screw on pipe like yours for my oil pressure as it needs to be fully sealed.

It's probably 1/8bsp, have you lookked on Tim's website it might tell you. There'll be loads of fittings on Ebay listed as bsp or G1/8
