I recently bought a vibe kit for about £25 though for ford puma, best was ut came with vibe quick dis connect socket thing that is normally £15 alone, means can remove sub from but with out taking of any wires!!

Checking your post for spelling (and that it makes sense) takes seconds and would be helpful to anyone trying to read. Thanks.

Well if one needs to be picky lol yes 'ut' should of been 'it', the last poster could obviously get the jist of my post.

How about applying the same logic to your user name! lol ha!

ok lol I meant with out needing to dis-connect wires with a screw driver etc, this connector block just simply pulls apart like.

Yeah it was posted in haste and will try not to do in future.

The Phoenix gold xenon is a 4 channel amp that can be bridged. That means you can run 4 channels in stereo, or 2 channels in stereo and the other 2 in a single mono channel for bass. I beleive it also has internal crossovers for bot sets of inputs as well as a bass adjust. The RMS rating is about 125 watts/channel at 2 and 4 ohm, and I know that amp will run at a 0 ohm load no problem. That means you can run 2 or 3 speakers off of each channel and still keep a clean sound and not over tax the amp. That amp packs and draws a lot of power. You can get away with an 8 guage rather than a 4. I'd look into investing into a 1/2 to 1 farad capacitor if you plan to play it loud and with a lot of bass. Also make sure your Altanator is able to handle the extra power draw or you may end up with a dead battery rather quickly.

He is going to be running the front stage active.

And Caps DON'T help and are a waste of money.
If you need to upgrade then the big 3,Bigger Alt and Battery. :)

Yeah I didn't think power caps where any good.

The amp has 100watt rms according to the manual and can do any impedance upto 8ohms, its says its got some clever circuitry that automatically adjusts to the speaker wired in, pretty clever eh!

and yes alternator is going to be changed, as it drops to about 10-11 volts when Ive got all the heater, lights, etc on

Having a higher impedance makes it easier for the amp but in MOST amps this will give less power.

Going lower 2ohm/1ohm etc works an amp harder and will normally create more power. But not all amps will run at the lower loads.

As you said, I understand this PG amp has a feature that adjusts to compensate for different loads to maintain a regulated power output.... very cool.

Sort the Alt and the Big 3 cabling and then see where you are. If you still have low voltage go for a better battery. :D
