Very clean build, are those brake and clutch lines stainless or painted copper?

I made up the hinges myself. Check out my blog for the template.

All lines were made with Bundy Tube - http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Bundy_tube

Thanks for all the compliments guys! It's really good to hear some feedback from all the hard work put in!

It's so you can open the rear window all the way and get easy access to the rear seats without climbing over the front seats. Depends if you put stuff in the back seat often or just want to let some air through..

Hiedy ho!

Some more updates.

I have finally painted and installed the side mirrors and wheel arches so now the exterior is pretty much complete (minus some wider wheels and dumping after registration)

The dash is now fully in. The steering wheel is also installed if you check my blog.

SMAAAAT is what we'll say in SA.
The amount of R&D and effort gone into this would make ferrari's rolling off the assembly line jealous.
This aint no regular mini. Hats off to you on a fine job done!

I've read up on your aswell as Allan Mears' blogs for ideas and tips.
Must however say thank you for sharing your ideas and passion with us.

So 4efte>4age16v/20v in terms of space, LSD & boost.
Can the same differential equaliser/layshaft idea be used on the 4age route?

Also the rear window idea is wicked. Looks like you have a different hinge system on there compared to our regular 2 point hinge system which I'm not sure opens all the way like yours can.

The layshaft is actually from the fwd 4age engine. AE101 corolla specifically, is where mine was taken from. So id say so

Thanks for the kind words. Alan's attention to detail is amazing which is what helped motivated me to start my build. It seems ive leap frogged him though. Ill eventually drive around his with the finished project and hopefully that will give him some motivation!!
