The only time an 850 block was rumoured to be used in any other capacity engine, it was in early 1098s where is was supposed to be bored to the 998 bore.

Wow! That is along time ago! Heres me thinking that the mini was coming up to be nearly 50 years old, and it turns out they've been churning them out for nearly 1000 years! :tongue:

Not sure if I mentioned that minispares have started producing very high quality 998 pistons in bore sizes greater than plus sixty thou, i have a set arrived today and they are awsome quality! Nice thick crowns and will take any punishment, (I hope so anyway!).
