Hi all,

I was thinking of starting a Forza 4 classic car club like I used to manage in the third. It worked really well previously and the club had some cracking times. It’s also a great opportunity to get to know other mini fanatics and have some fun at the same time. As a general rule of thumb, most events would take place using ‘classic’ cars (it’s fitting as we are on a classic car forum!)
  • Events would take place once a week such a timed races, endurance races, one make races and so on, usually on full simulation settings. Events would start at 8pm for example and run until people decide that they need sleep.
  • Thanks to the new feature of the club garage, tuned classics and legends would be available for use by all in the club.
  • Each week I will post up the date, time and races to take place at the event. If you have any suggestions for race types, post them up! It would be a member’s run club.

If you have Forza 4, are connected online and would be interested then post up your Xbox Live name and Ill invite you to the club.

To start, the first event will be Tuesday 13th December 8pm Start.
  • Race 1 – Circuit, Class D350, Pre 1980’s RWD cars
  • Race 2 – Timed (30min), Class B500, Pre 1990’s RWD cars
  • Race 3 – Circuit, Class A600, Pre 1990’s Any cars
  • Further races will be people’s choice, any type of car, any year

(Allow for at least 1 hour of gaming time)

Hopefully we can get this up and running and it would be a good laugh.

If you want to add me to speed things up, I’m Twitcher2403.

Cheers.

It wont always be on a Tuesday at 8pm. This is just what we are doing next week to get things going. Once we get some members together we will look at times for when most people will be free. So, whats your Xbox name? :D

Can I join and not take part in races? I'm really busy lately and probably can't get on when I'd like to. Still, the idea of a club where we can trade tips, sell cars and chat sounds good.

Turn 10 won't get the rights to the Mini shape or name, since its already owned by other developers... and if they cant get Porsche... they wont get Mini.

I've been really busy with stuff and work so Ive not really got time to get the Mini club running again. If you want to take over for a while then thats fine with me. I have 54 people taking part in America from the Forza forums and the season starts in Febuary. Add me on Xbox live and we can chat and sort something out. It's in its fourth year of running, unofficially five, since I also ran it on Forza 1 and TOCA many moons ago.

Mini Mad Craig, is your club on Forza 4 or 3? Looks very good. Also, whats your Xbox name?

Anyone can join the club I've started on F4, just leave your xbox name on here. I thought we would keep it TMF exclusive to start.

FORZA 4 based now. We have be racing through the years on all platforms. I used to run a league you may have heard of called UKOG or 'United Kingdom Online Gamers' - we had thousands of members. This was wayyyy before PS3 and Xbox, online gaming at all really hit the mainsteam and everybody had it though. So few people bought the network adapter for their PS2's, and Xbox live was very small back then...

The racing was great since you only got serious, and competitive drivers online... instead of the kids you get in public lobbys nowadays... I miss it.

I race in TORA Ameircan Le Mans GT1 and have a 24 hour coming up... and 8 other rounds. I used the RUF RGT tuned to Gt2 standards in Flying Lizards Porsche GT3 RSR livery (Since porsche isnt in the game). I spend so much time tuning for the events, whenever I'm online mostly... but all 120 drivers are ALL within 1 second of eachother. Going to be some great racing over several lobbies.

It's highly unlikely but technically couldn't they do Wood & Pickets as they did brand new cars in the 60s.

They wont bother with the trouble though. Mini has so much going on, not just the name, brand, but the Mini shape is also copyrighted. If they won't go to the trouble of getting Porsche in the game, which for many people, including me, was almost make and break... they won't bother with adding the Mini, as a DLC especially, since a lot of people don't even bother with extra content.
