Rear drive too, not much weight over the rear wheels! Still like to drive it though :)

Personally I can't see anything wrong with it, It's been designed and engineered for a purpose.

285bhp from a 5 litre V8 doesn't seem that much power though....

the power is a bit disappointing for a 5l V8 though

i would say it's at least 300lb-ft at the wheels, in something that light it would be fun to say the least. people need to remember that bhp is just a made up figure.

as they say, bhp sells cars, torque wins races ;)

I race autograss cars and some class 7 minis have twin, YES THATS TWO, 1650cc suzuki hyabusa motorbike engines in a car that weighs 470kg. 0-60 in 2.8 seconds and 100mph in4.7 seconds, sideways on grass!!! Check them out on you tube!!!

285 ponies in a car that is going to weigh not a lot to be honest will be enough. If you went OTT it would be too mental but think of the tuning potential. With some careful work 500 hp would not be too far away.

It's more than a few years old, I'm pretty sure I have a mini mag from the mid 90's with it in.

I remember reading about that car yeaaaaaaaaaaaars ago. Before I even got my mini I had a picture of that on my wall.

One thing I seem to remember was that it was too loud for nearly all race tracks ha ha
