Another option but one that would require some pukka welding would be to try and find a modern detachable in a breakers. As long as the swan neck is either fitted or in the car then use the socket it fits into and manufacture the rest. Just make sure you have the swan neck as they apparently aren't available seperately.
And if the one on my daily goes missing i will be searching around the shows. Lol

Our socket points down to the road when the swan neck is removed. You have to look under the car to see any evidence at all its there.

Thanks.... I've thought about this and intend to make a 'slot-in' tow ball for the shortie... and a slot-in 'hitch' for the trailer.

When the hitch is removed from the trailer... the trailer can be stood on end to minimise storage space.

Got an idea for the trailer......... haven't seen one done before........

I'll be trying my idea out over the next few days to see if it works.

Does anyone use 'gazebos' for camping at Mini events?

I've seen a few at shows with camping where the car is in the gazebo & a tent next to it or 1 where the whole tent came out of the trailer & covered the end of the trailer, car & had sleeping space beside it. Is that your plan, to have it as a trailer tent?

Some sort of camping theme.... but will use a gazebo to cover car and trailer... I'm just in the planning stage at the moment to see which idea is best for me
