Yes, thats right.
Just went to get a new points and condensor set for Sophie the Clubby and they don't sell them anymore.
Great.
In fact, it gets better, he said "thats an unusual part" and also "consult your main dealer".
I give up with my local branch. They've really gone down hill recently.

Thanks Jam. Very observant.
The fact is, I did have electronic ignition until the wire coming from the electronic ignition module snapped.
Hence the need for points for a few days whilst I order a new lumenition kit.
Gutted doesn't come into it.

Well true, but that doesn't change the fact the Halfords suck.
Why can't I buy a single imperial socket to replace the 11/16 I lost? Why do I have to buy a whole rail of them?
Therefore : Halfords suck.

Dan we are in agreement and form a majority
Points may not be common but lets think how many cars were made before 1991 - ALOT.
As for sockets - don't even get me started Dan. Its a nightmare and I totally agree with you.
GRRRRRRRRRR!

I totally agree! In my local store they have half a side for all the tools like sockets, spanners, etc. However wax and polish gets both sides of an aisle, stereos get the whole side of the building, car mats, crappy shiny LEDS and wheel trims get more than both sides of an aisle!!!!!
Just goes to show what type of people Half*ckups actually cater for!

shall we get down to some facts here
How many cars are on the road using lucas points max i would say of 40,000 cars now as there is only around 120,000 road legal minis left approx
how many cars need a polish all of them
trouble is everyhting is profit related, now if u goto the little motorfactors place in tonbridge nr to shell petrol station iirc they have points etc on the shelf ( i know i used them when i got caught out at a customers house that way)
dont banish people for making money they need to to survive

Their advertising said it all with the Monkeys.
They dont sell car parts, its just tat. For car parts your best off going to a specialist motor factors.
