It's a 1984 MG Maestro 1600 (one of only 10 liscensed in the country!) rally/track car. It's got quite a long spec list - twin webers, 6 point cage, suspension, polybushed etc.

The roof has been hand painted black for some reason which is pretty horrible & wants painting properly & a little bit of rust on the front doors. Plan is just enjoy it really, enter some road rallies etc.

Don't they have webers? That British Leyland engineers at the time couldn't tune because they were only familiar with SU's? could have been a different engine I'm talking about.

Nice car though, I've got a 1.3 Ex-BT Maestro van :)

Yeah they had webers as standard which is how they got their bad reputation. I've seen your van, I've got the blue maestro van.

1.6 I think they are, S series or R?

I'd love one myself to be honest.

That is cool! I likey. Only thing I dislike about Maestros is replacing the heater matrix as I've had to do a few! :ermm:
