Hi guys, thinking of getting this tomorrow being so cheap, I havn't got a full set that is all in one place. I have to borrow my dads!

Key thing about this is that impreial is included.

Now, I have read most reviews and alot are saying the tools are cheap which is understandable because of the price.

But for the odd job hear and there on a Mini, I reckon this chest would be ideal.

Anyone have this? what do people think?

Thanks,

Matthew

For a starter kit they are ok, they're certinally better quality than what I started with. Having said that some of my original cheap tools are still in use 20 years later.

All I really want it for is the odd job like exhaust change >_< , etc. Spark plug socket will come in handy and stuff like that. Might be worth investing in?

I have a decent torque wrench.

Not much on a mini that will use huge force that it will snap the tool (general maintainance anyway)

For £50 its worth a punt, as you break the tools you use the most they can just be replaced with better quality items.

I like the suitcase kit they've got, thats ideal for keeping in the boot.

I bought the same kit last christmas branded as something else( cant remember what, but its exactly the same set as that) and Its actually pretty good, not managed to break anything from it yet.
Was in B&Q in their christmas sale but I think I only paid about £30

If your budget will take it go for the profesional advanced 150 pce set at reduced £100 guaranteed for life. I bought mine 2 yrs ago and have yet to break anything, wish i could say the same for the mini lol.

I remember breaking a spanner trying to undo my timing chain cover but that was because I rounded it off and gave it a good wack with a hammer. hahaha.

Got a link to that 150pce set reduced?

Thanks

ive got it and managed to break the 1/4 inch rachet 1/2 to 1/4 adapter and a few sockets wasnt really giving um much stick but they were a couple of years old and earnt there money plus if all the tools break you still have a top box :)
also theyve changed the box as mine has the top draw as 2 little draws and 2 bottom full size drawers
as said you get what you pay for but i might buy another in the summer if there still that price

They are good for the price, my brother has a set very simular to that might even be the same one as he buys most of his tools from Halfords. Be sure to check for any discount codes online then reserve in your local store to pick up and you still get the online discount ;D

I highly recommend the halfords professional range. I have a lot of the pro kit and its brilliant. It's great quality and has a lifetime warranty. I am yet to need the warranty.

The 120 piece kit is currently half price if you can stretch to £100

Personally wouldn't bother with their standard range.

How convenient haha.

Exactly the same here - bought that kit about three years ago (for the same price so it's actually CHEAPER now).
I broke the 1/4 inch rachet after about a year but don't exactly feel ripped off - still got the rest and check this out - the box
is an inch perfect fit for the boot !
