If you draw attention to yourself or if a car looks unsafe they might check it. I didn't see one being checked while over there last year. I wouldn't worry unduely.

It's not a massive problem to be honest, it's just one of those things to consider whilst you've got time to do something about it. I'd hate for someone to be the unlucky one and get stopped from lapping whilst we're there though. at the end of the day, we can fabricate a cover from gaffa tape, string and some gumption at the campsite!

Also, 8 bonnet pins????

Rear ones don't seem to worry them, it's mainly front leading edge of the bonnet that I've seen people whinge about. Normally, none of our lot get stopped. Oil (and any other fluid) leaks are far more important to worry about...

Cheers for clearing that up, only 4 pins on the front. nothing a few cable ties can sort out but i was thinking about swapping for the flush fit type ones anyway so might go down that route, iv got a tiny tiny tiny oil leak but i can sort that out before september! Only other fluids to worry about will be my misses's oooo errr!

All minis from 1959 to 2000 are classed as Classic Minis, we don't want BMW MINIS on the run, hence us using the term "Classic Mini". :D

OK guys, it's pretty much the end of May.

I'm taking applications still, got one in the post yesterday, one email last night. Hurry hurry hurry.

As you can see, the Minis are winning this year! :P

We've got 18 Minis signed up so far. This will make for an amazing feature in the mags and the videos and photos of the parade lap at Buckmore Park will be great.

If anyone off the forum would like to meet us at Buckmore to wave us off, that would also be great! Come say hi. It's Wednesday 5th September and we're meeting up there at 06:45-07:00, signing in and briefing for 07:30 and the parade lap will be around 08:00.

I'm trying to push people to be in fancy dress of some form, so some photos for the forums would be great too!

EIGHTEEN MINIS!!

Wowsers trousers!!

If anyone's not sure about going, just do it. It may be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, or you may get hooked & go every year, but it's well worth it for the driving experience & to have holibobs in a beautiful part of the world.

Sign up, peeps!

I know. Really happy with the Mini to non-Mini ratio this year!

It's going to make for some great footage and photomabobs.

We've got loads of room left on the camping pitch, so we can easily take more runners. I'd love to get about another 5-10 cars signed up, but it's already going to be a brilliant run.

As said above, it's a great experience and I personally think that a run like this is the best way to go to the 'ring. Yeah, you can pop over for a weekender, but this is like a holiday, with loads of Minis and brits there, we get a camping pitch on our own with no intruders in our zone. We get to see amazing countryside and we also get to ride the 'ring! :teehee:
