Also made a template for front speaker pods, took 2hrs in all , fitting under the shelf on the inner wing

 

 

made the pods at work , welded and dressed

fitted and bought some FLI speakers to replace the ones I had fitted at first

Not much done with regards to the engine upgrade, trying to source a big valve / ported head at present,

Like a fool seen one on ebay dithered about and lost it £70 BIN , what a plonker.....

well . bought an MG metro head ( big valve ) decided to port it and mod the combustion chambers... heres

Looking good, that'll give you some better breathing to the engine. Are you going to polish the combustion chamber around the valves?

May do a bit . But according to the Vizard book polishing gives no real advantage. .

Well what do I say....... may be going in a different direction... been given a turbo head and complete turbo set up. ...... now what to do....

All the parts I've got for twin su's won't be needed if i go turbo....... could use the head but may as well mod the turbo one...

well started.. took out the weber box and heater , also stripped out the dash

 

 

 

Then cut out the bulkhead for the turbo box, bigger than usual due to having the weber box

 

 

made the turbo box at work

 

 

positioned in place and trimmed to suit

welded in position, just have a small gap at the top will need to put a piece inside to weld body and

box too

 

 

That's where i'm up too body mod wise.....

Turbo bulkhead finished

 

 

piston ring grooves cleaned out and new rings fitted

 

 

4.05 kg flywheel fitted

Made a device to lock the flywheel

 

 

locates on the two starter motor mount holes

 

 

tab locates on the flywheel teeth
