i have a 1985 998cc mayfair that is in alittle worse for wear, and it is just sitting there doing nothing at the moment..

so i want to make it into a mini shorty, i have spent 4 hours looking for information but found bugger all, so when cutting it,

do i just cut off behind the A panels and infront of the B pillar, make sure they all line up and weld then.
when cutting is a straight line ok, or is it best to cut in zig zags to have more weld.
once welded can i use box section to brase the sills and along the top of the door, and then a case of cutting off the roof.

where is the best place for the brases, is it worth putting in width brases or not

and when it comes to MOT and stuff like that are there any do's and don'ts

many thanks gaz..
