yeah gloves seem like a clever classy investment. baha
purple_hedgehog i'm actually in wheathampstead. i work in harpenden funnily enough :thumbsup: so it seems like Peter Baldwin will be the better option as i'll be needing the car to get around in

Yup. I'd go for Peter Baldwin, then. He does it there and then (you drive it whilst he tunes it).
A friend of mine (in St Albans) is going to him soon for a tune up, too.
Since you're local, let me know if you need any advice any time ... I have a lot of contacts in my Mini club :)

My friends Owen and Jamie own and run The Rover Centre in London Road, St. Albans. I think they still have a rally Mini in addition to their Rover rally cars.
I was born in St. Albans and lived there until I was 24. Still love to visit the old city sometimes. Actually I went to Verulam School, but it was called something else back then.

Another vote for Peter Baldwins from me, hes an incredibly knowledgable bloke, just don't plan a busy day when you go as he has a tendency to run late.

and cooperman i think that place is fairly close to a friend of mine. may pop in just for a nosey :P

is that from experience Spud? i tend not to plan busy days when im doing work on the mini any as i'll tend to get carried away and end up doing something different to what i started :angel:
