Hello,

Just thought I'd put a little post here before I start a restoration thread. I have bought a 1975 Mini 850 in a rather sorry state and am about to embark on a full restoration for the first time. I was warned that if I didnt take the mini then it was going to the scrap yard so I couldn't let that happen!
I had a mini for my first car years ago and always wanted another so here it is

what condition is the rest of the car in? looks like a good project any style your going to go for? or keeping it standard?

Having now stripped it down I'd say the condition of the car was, rotten with the odd bit of metal held together with paint!!

As for plans, keeping it in a 70s style is a definate, 70s colour, 10" wheels and maybe some period buckets. Will probably go for disc brakes up front and a more potent engine!
