Hi Everybody!
Sorry I couldn't think of an original title, all the best ones were taken! My name is David and I am 15 years old from Corringham in Essex, and I received my first Mini for my birthday last year, a 1979 Mini 1000 called 'Orville' according to the previous owner :D . Its a project I will be undertaking with my dad, to hopefully have it on the road in time for my 17th next July in time for me to drive to MITP 2007 with L-Plates! Here is a picture of him looking a lot better than in the flesh (or metal?):

I may start up a thread in the Projects section soon with more pictures of Orville as he progresses. Last year I went to MITP and bought a shed-load (literally) of bits for him and had a great time, but I now fear that I have caught the Mini bug for good :D.

Anyway, that's enough from me, thanks for reading and hello again :w00t:.

Hey mate, i think your windscreen wipers won't work!!!! :w00t:
Seriously, though, looks like a good base to start from also, once you have the bug you'll never recover!

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Remarkably the windscreen wipers do actually still work on their own, all they need now is a windscreen to wipe :o. At least the interior is well ventilated, especially with the hole that is in the roof at the moment from where the rotten sunroof had to be removed!
